Kinder has decided to do something that is blowing me out of the water and leaving me a little tearful. They have decided to partner with The Children’s Miracle Network in the “A Joy to Share” campaign!
I have always had a soft spot in my heart for The Children’s Miracle Network, an organization that does so much for sick children and their parents. They are helping the kids in our communities, in our neighbourhoods and sometimes even in our own homes.
“Children’s Miracle Network® raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals, 14 of which are in Canada. These hospitals, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. When a donation is given, it stays in the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local kids. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network has raised more than $4 billion, most of it $1 at a time. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of our mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.”
This past year, as we’ve walked this long road of health concerns with Audrey, we’ve seen even more the great work that these guys are doing. BC Children’s Hospital is one of the 14 hospitals supported by the Children’s Miracle Network in Canada and we’ve been so fortunate to have them caring for our little girl.
So, when I hear that Kinder Canada was joining with Children’s Miracle Network to create the “A Joy to Share” campaign I was a little excited! Now it’s MY turn to give something back to an organization, a group of people and a hospital that has/is doing so much for us!
When you click over to Kinder Canada’s Facebook – “A Joy to Share” page, you’ll find all the details on how you can take part in this program to! Since, Kinder is a proud sponsor of the Children’s Miracle Network when you purchase any of the adorable Kinder Seasonal Easter Themed Products you’ll not only be making your own children happy (we’ve covered this Kinder + Kids = Happy Family!) but you’ll be helping someone else’s child too!
Then, if you feel like you’d like to do more, you also have the option of clicking the link on the page and making a donation yourself. Whether it’s $1 or $100 you can rest assured that it will be put to good use.
Once you’re done checking out the “A Joy to Share” page, click on the “Miracle Kids” page. There you’ll find the stories of the kids and their parents who have felt the love of the Children’s Miracle Network. These Moms (and Dads) are heroes. If you’ve ever held your child as a fever raged, or watched the tears slide down their face as a doctor does their best to help heal the hurt inside then you know what I mean. There is nothing that shatters your heart like watching your children sick, and to face it day in and day out, like some of these parents do takes the strength of a Super Hero. When you’re there, leave them a comment, encourage them, uplift them. We can’t take their pain away but we can tell them they’re not alone.
Seeing the faces of the children you are helping when you make a purchase of a Kinder product or a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network makes it feel real. All of a sudden you’re not just helping an organization, you’re helping a person, a family – someone just like you.“Disclosure: I’m part of the Kinder® Mom program and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group.
