“We’re Supah Spies!”
I’m not going to complain about last week today, although I’d really like to. It sucked, we survived, the end.
Instead, today I’m going to share a few of the things that have come out of the mouths of our babes lately. These kids are frustrating, sweet, silly, chaotic, beautiful, smart and introspective. They are little parrots who have learned the art of sarcasm, and the ability to deadpan it…
Audrey: “Mama, what’s this yucky white stuff?” (holding up her orange slice)
Me: “It’s called the pith, it’s part of the orange. Just eat it.”
Audrey: “MAMA! I don’t want to eat the PISS!”
Corey talking to Bethany: “Whatcha thinkin’?”
Bethany while staring off into space: “I dunno….ribbit?”
Audrey: “I want boys to dance with me…so I can dance with boy”
Me: “Corey? Corey? Take a breath!”
Christmas Day, while the house was quiet Audrey was standing looking out the front window. She turned, looked at Corey and said – “Suck it!”
Audrey: “When I grow up I’m gonna have 5 babies. Mollay, Hunter, Crucka, Cruck and Baby F*ck!” (This is not a word we say in our home. Audrey has been working on rhyming and Cruck and F*ck just happened to rhyme.)(Corey had to deal with this situation, I was laughing so hard I almost pee’d for real on the floor)
Bethany: “Daddy, I’m just going to have to get new pajammas. I’m growing so darned fast and I just can’t make it stop!”
I love our girls, they same a million more fantastic things in the day, I just can’t remember them all. These two little people are proof as to why the show “Kid’s Say the Darnedest Things” was such a success.
What’s the funniest thing your child has ever said to you?
