PB & Milk – Are Cheerios giving jam the boot? GIVEAWAY!

in Life Made Delicious

I never used to like peanut butter.  All the years I was growing up peanut butter turned my tummy, the smell, the texture, the fact that it was made from peanuts (blech!) – it was all a bad scene.

Then I got pregnant.

Pregnancy changes SO many things, our bodies, our sleep patterns…our lives for ever and our taste buds.  Not long into my pregnancy with Bethany I began to crave peanut butter and tea each morning.  I ate loaves and loaves of toast slathered with peanut butter (because I was eating 2 or 22 at that point) in complete and utter bliss.

Both girls were born and while some things went back to normal, my taste buds never did.  All Natural Peanut Butter became a grocery staple and a good “friend”.  Audrey and I love to share crisp Pink Lady apple slices smeared with peanut butter, I still love warm homemade bread/toast with a light layer of peanut butter or, if the day’s been bad a little (tiny) spoonful of peanut butter and a few chocolate chips.  It’s such a treat and I love it!

When we heard that Cheerios, another favourite around this house was coming out with Peanut Butter Cheerios you can bet we were a little excited!  Audrey and I tore into our parcel when it arrived and she dove right into the yummy snack!  Great with milk or as a dry snack, these Cheerios are sure to please the peanut butter lover in your home.

I had plans to make a Peanut Butter Cheerio Chocolate square but our boxes disappeared a little too quickly.  I’m going to have to buy another box to give it a try.

Either on an apple, on a spoon, or swirled into oatmeal. Or in peanut butter pie, one of my favourite desserts!

Oh my! If there is ANYTHING that I would like to win, this is IT!!!! Ahhh…. We are peanut butter addicts around here. My two year old and I also LOVE apples and peanut butter. ( Every single afternoon, we have one! Jazz apples from Costco are SO delish!) . She calls it ” Bapple n’ buddah”. So cute!

Ok, and on the chance that we don’t win…. Are these only going to be in stores on March 16 & 17?? ( I’m not on facebook anymore. Taking a hiatus, and this is one of those things that I actually feel like I ” miss out on”) Email me the details, please and thank you??
